Wills, Trusts, Estate Plans, Probate Law
Joey Cavello is the founder and attorney owner of Joseph Legacy Planning, successfully launching the firm in 2024 after seven years of dedicated legal experience in wills, trusts, estates, and probate law.

Joey got his start as a first-year law student paired with a mentoring attorney long established in estate planning, and was immediately drawn to that area of legal practice. He was rapidly hired as his mentor's law clerk, and spent his remaining two years of law school honing a focused expertise in serving clients for estate planning and probate law, and growing to love the art of preserving generational values and personal legacies.

After law school, Joey began his legal career with an Am Law 100 firm, working in contract and regulatory law in addition to serving the firm’s estate planning clients. After two years, he transitioned to another regional firm in order to build and manage their estate planning practice, and soon became known for his personal and compassionate approach and keen attention to detail.
After years serving clients with distinction in that role, he was inspired to found Joseph Legacy Planning, where he now proudly devotes all of his time to developing Michiana’s premier estate planning law firm. He continues to provide peace of mind for clients through excellence in legal services, and remains passionate about legal education and proactive life planning.

Joey is a practicing attorney licensed in the states of Indiana and Florida (with Michigan licensure pending), and remains active in the South Bend community, serving on the planning Committees for the Michiana and Elkhart County Estate Planning Councils, and as sitting President of the Catholic Professionals Network.

When Joey isn’t practicing law, he nourishes his passion for generational stewardship with his wife and children on their family farm in Lakeville.
